Church in the Village of Montes Los Negros, Honduras

Unashamed Missions in conjunction with Med Missions has led several teams to the Ruinas de Copan region of Honduras. In July of 2009, we led a combined team from Valley Creek Church and Heritage Church in Watauga, Texas. God had big plans for us during this week. We were able to build two churches, add a third floor on to an orphanage, hold six medical and dental brigades in six different villages, have VBS for the kids in each village, pass out clothes and other aid to each village, evangelize to everyone who passed through the medical brigades and we also did some work on one of the local pastor's church. It was an incredible week. Below are some pictures.

Here the medical & evangelism teams load into a truck to get one of more remote villages that was not accessible by bus.

We had full medical and dental services available at the brigades.

Each evening after a day so serving, we gathered at the hotel for dinner and some praise and worship.

Dan Heim (aka "Dancin Dan the Cemento Man") loves block.

We teamed with the local Honduran doctors and dentists to provide medical and dental.

Here is Dawn Shapley loving on some of the kids at the orphanage.

This is what we call "doing the dance" mixing concrete for the church.

Burce Orr has some fun with the local kids.

These are a few of the orphans from the local orphange. We love getting to spend time playing with them and serving them.

We added a third floor cooking area to the orphanage.

The youth on the trip were great. They all worked and played hard.
